Q. How does your test compare to the blood test?
A. Apart from being less invasive and considerably cheaper, we believe our test is as accurate (if not more accurate) than the blood tests. I offer an 100% refund policy if not fully satisfied with your results, so you cannot lose.
Q. My hair is dyed, will this affect the result?
A. No, the test is completed on the DNA of the hair sample so hair colouring will have no effect on the result.
Q. I don't have any hair on my head, can you still complete a test?
A. The hair sample does not have to be from the head, we have had eye brow hair and even the occasional pubic hair!
Q How much hair do I have to provide?
A Only a small amount, 3-4 individual hairs. We do not require clumps of hair.
Q. Can you test against a different specific item not included in your test?
A. Yes, the lab does specific tests for many clients to try and help them narrow down their intolerance. This includes specific food items, hair and feathers from pets and leaves from house plants. I am currently offering this additional test for a limited time for free, just put a sample of the item you want tested in a separate bag and send it in with your hair sample. This is limited to one item per person, if you require more, this can be completed at a small additional charge, please call me to discuss your requirements. The lab has completed tests on various drugs and chemicals, please call me to discuss this before sending them through.
Q. Is there anything additional to pay?
A. At present you have to pay the cost of the postage back to the processing centre in Europe.
Q. I want a test completing on my 6 month year old child, can you complete it?
A. Yes, the lab is completing tests on babies and young children.
Q. Can you complete the test on animals?
A. Animals, especially dogs can suffer greatly from intolerances. Following requests from several vets (and pet owners) the lab has designed a test specifically for dogs and cats. You can order the test from me, just let me know.
Q. Where are the tests processed and how long will it take?
A. At present the tests are processed in the laboratory in Europe which the company I work with uses. Although they are looking to open a centre in the USA. Once the hair sample has been received at their laboratory you will receive your results within 7-10 days.
